V4 BMX Olympic Hopes
International experience for the region’s next Olympic hopes
V4 BMX Olympic Hopes is an international BMX Freestyle competition bringing together young riders from the Visegrád region in Debrecen. The three-day event gives athletes aged 12 to 18 the chance to gain experience in a high-level international field and creates a meeting point for the region’s future Olympic hopefuls.
The venue is DEBEX, Hungary’s largest and most complex extreme sports park, where Hungarian riders will compete alongside athletes from the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Young riders of the V4 region
V4 BMX Olympic Hopes is aimed at young BMX Freestyle riders from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. It brings together athletes aged 12 to 18 who can reach the top level of the discipline in the coming years.
Alongside Hungarian riders, Czech and Slovak competitors are also expected to line up in significant numbers in Debrecen.

DEBEX – Debrecen Extreme Sports Park

The competition takes place at Debrecen Extreme Sports Park, Hungary’s largest and most complex extreme sports facility. Five courses are located on 7,695 square metres on the western side of the ice rink. Local extreme sports associations were involved in the planning, so the courses were shaped around the needs of the people who use them.

While the latest tricks are being showcased on the course, the bikes that started it all will be right there beside it. During the competition, the Debrecen Bicycle Museum will also set up an exhibition at the venue.
Meet the pros
The weekend is not only about the next generation. Our guest is Noémi Molnár (Nonó), European champion BMX Freestyle rider, and several well-known names of the Hungarian scene are also expected at the venue. A chance for young riders to see their role models up close.

Parking
Free parking is available in the ice rink car park at 33 Derék Street. The DEBEX entrance is accessible from the car park, on the western side of the ice rink.
Public transport
Get off at Derék utca – Jégcsarnok. The stop is served by bus lines 12, 22, 22Y, 25, 25Y, 72 and 72A, among others. From the stop, walk towards the ice rink; DEBEX is only a few minutes away.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a rider licence?
No. A valid competition licence is not mandatory for participation.
How much is the entry fee?
Entry is free for every competitor.
How is the competition scored?
The competition uses the official UCI scoring system. Each category has two one-minute runs. In qualification, both runs count and the scores are averaged. In the final, the better of the two runs counts. If a category has at least 12 riders, practice sessions are split into groups.
Is there prize money?
No prize money is awarded at the competition.
What equipment is mandatory?
A helmet is mandatory. Every bike must have properly fitted handlebar end plugs. If pegs are fitted, they must have a plastic cover with no exposed metal part.
Is medical care available on site?
Full medical coverage with an emergency ambulance is provided throughout the competition. The nearest hospital is Kenézy Gyula Hospital and Outpatient Clinic, 2–26 Bartók Béla Road, Debrecen.
Is accommodation provided?
Selected competitors are provided with half-board accommodation for two nights, on 17 and 18 September 2026, as well as two minibus transfers per day between the accommodation and the competition venue.
